This look is so simple, both the colour palate and skinny jeans/turtle-neck knit combo are so simple, yet so chic. A look I’m loving this winter is the turtle-neck, I hope it’s making a come back, and if blogger Elin Kling is rocking one, then I think signs may point to yes. Even her Celine tote is perfectly coordinated with the ensemble. Simple winter styling at it’s best.
As the northern hemisphere welcomes the first few weeks of spring, (while the southern hemisphere enters into the wintery months) I found this gorgeous spring look. The clashing of the floral skirt and the striped blouse is very on-trend and summery. The Christopher Kane skirt and Celine wedges are both must-haves for the summer and the wedges can even be worn with tights for the southern hemisphere winter. Celebrate the warmer months ahead with florals, stripes and wedges!
Erdem’s latest collection is pure, classic, perfection, so chic and bound to be a hit in the fashion world. The colours, the shapes, the silouhettes! Ah-mazing! I must say I didn’t expect so much colour, the busy patterns were a surprise, but I think it was a good surprise. Of course in keeping with the Erdem staple, there was some lace! Very on-trend, both modern and classic! The mix of cropped pants and feminine dresses meant there was something for everyone, the shapes flattered the female body, with the perfect tailoring but were also modest with high neck-lines and longer hems than some other collections, making the collection sexy and lady-like. For me Erdem has always been one of my favourites, always classic and individual, not one of the huge fashion houses, but at the same time designer Erdem Moralioglu is making a name for himself in the industry. On the day, far, far away in the future when my wardrobe begins housing designer brands, Erdem, along with Chloe, Celine and a few other favourites, will all have a spot.
Already a big deal in the Australian fashion industry, stylist Christine Centenera is making a name for herself abroad. She styled Kanye West’s recent fashion debut in Paris and on his latest visit to Australia was spotted acting as his personal shopper in Sydney, Centenera looks to be one of Australia’s latest big exports in the fashion world. Her style is very modern, at times futuristic, I have featured her before when she wore her statement flares by Celine and she favours short hemlines (perfect for her toned, tanned legs). Currently the fashion editor at Harpers Bazaar here in Australia, Centenera is sure to be headed for big things with her keen fashion eye and famous friends (namely, Mr. Kanye West). During the recent haute couture shows in Paris, Centenera recorded a photo fashion diary of what she wore, here are a few of the outfits she chose.

In amongst the doom and gloom of winter, I have seen a new trend emerge. During the many hours that I spend during the week scrolling through the street-style blogs that I follow, I have seen lots of black and grey, fur and wool, tights and boots, but I have also seen colour, lots of it, especially in the emerging trend of flared, printed statement pants. The colours are generally bright and the pattern loud, they are generally floor length and always attention grabbing. Worn with a plain blouse, shirt or jacket, or with a clashing colour or print, the pants stand out no matter the season, event or dress-code. From blogger Tamu McPherson to stylist Christene Centenera, the pants are very on trend, definitely something to invest in for the coming northern hemisphere spring or as something to keep your wardrobe bright in the coming southern hemisphere autumn.
